We recommend a fondant base so that the image doesn't dissolve. A buttercream or ganache base is also suitable. However, we recommend not putting the cake with the topper in the refrigerator; only place it on the cake just before serving. If using a moist base such as whipped cream, place the topper on the cake shortly before serving.
